Can you imagine it, there you are trundling along minding your own business and then up pops and official looking bloke and says 'we want to weigh your axles'.

This is from a mate of mine on TruckNet UK, English but lives in Germany, we, and another heavy duty specialist reckon there are 176 tyres on the road there, well, not actually all on the road but you know what I mean.

I once had a much shorter version of that which required a police escort. The police are well known for hating escorts and justing getting back to the canteen for a pint of tea and when this bloke turned up he said how fast can you go? When I told him 45 he said 'can't you go faster than that?'. My reply was 'on every one of those tyres it says max 45 mph, if you are willing to crawl underneath all that lot to change a flat, I'll go as fast as you like.'

Off we went at the snail's pace.
