When did lack of courtesy become normal

This is why I love being a Canadian. Nobody packs so you don't gotta worry about some little insecure ##### pulling a gun on you. Turns it into a "nut up or shut up" situation lol.

 

I still see plenty of good old fashioned drivers out there, but I do see the other crowd as well. It's refreshing to see the good ones show courtesy and good conversation on the radios are nice. Some driver always seem to think the world is in their way and clog the middle lane running 65 and will not get over. The trucking world has been and is changing, but so is the world around it. Guess we have to get used to that fact drivers.

 

Fat pieces of lard is part of it stupid trainers is another stupid drivers is another and more trucks on the road is another
I see a lot of old losers doing this stuff (bullhaulers) i think it has always been a problem just the more trucks makes it worse.

 

Idk there is still alot of good drivers out there. Was loading in yuma az with 4 other flatbed drivers , we were standing around in the yard waiting to get loaded . Just shooting the #### and telling stories. Me be younger i always go up to the older guys and strike up a convo if they arent to busy. Or help fold tarps with them . Its good to pay it forward and pass it on. Atleast in flatbed u dont get as much slobs but they are still out there just like every side of trucking.

 

That's my thoughts exactly.

 

It started with the demise of the large Union Trucking Companies. This was in the 90 s. Now the Trucking Companies that were a joke then , are the mega carriers now, and their formula is the same. Fill the seat of as many trucks as possible,

 

It started in 1979 when the Federal government took over grade 1-12 education and kicked God out of school. Kids used to get corporal punishment at school. Now, parents can go to jail for spanking their kids at home. Since the little darlins' get no discipline at home or anywhere else they figure they can do whatever they want out in the real world. There were no effective consequences for bad behavior then and so now we get the pleasure of their presence out here.

Also, having the internet as a role model / baby sitter didn't help.

 

Rude is as old as mankind. Read old western books.....people were rude back than...…
read the Bible....Cane was rude to Abel.

Back when there were horses....there were horse thieves. Cowboys would gallop into
town at full speed and spread dust over the whole town. Trail herds would run the cattle
straight down main street rather than take the extra time to go around.

The only reason it seems worse now is there are more trucks/drivers than ever with
less parking than ever.
