"Free" healthcare.
I bet you pay a butt ton more in taxes for that "free" service and get to enjoy long waits for specialty care. Meanwhile, I pay about $300/year for my family health plan. I'd rather pay $300 and have great care than to pay an additional $10,000 in taxes for waiting lists.
When do I get to see .70 a mile OTR?

Then why even reply to me in the first place.. have nothing better to do, and no other way to express jealousy right....must suck working for low pay in MN thinking $25 is a decent wage.

You make an awful lot of assumptions and lash out when wrong, don't you?Another Canadian driver, drvrtech77 and xlsdraw Thank this. -
I never said that you said you work for $25, I'm assuming you work for less than 25 lol.
N yeah I'm a violent person by nature so lashing out is common right or wrong. Good day safe travels.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I make 25 an hour and get better hometime than Walmart and LTL companies.. I have at least 1.5k extra a month... I live in a prime real estate market in NC... But my wife works and pays her own stuff and my truck is paid off... lol
If I had freeloaders I'd be broke...
The OTR idea is mainly to finish my mortgage and retire early. But like others here: No way I'm living on the road again for basically what I already make with better equipment and hometime.. Not sure how people who can't go six months without an accident are going to help them around paying proven drivers eitherLast edited: Jun 15, 2022

Been running 4 weeks now for a small reefer carrier paid by percentage that has been averaging out to $0.72 a mile for me so far. Haven't ran a 70 yet with less than 3,400 miles. Dispatching has been great. Customers they have are easy to deal with mostly pre-loaded shippers and live unload receivers. Governed at 68. Only negative thing I'd have to say so far about this company is their trucks don't have APUs. They give you a bonus for keeping idle under 35% or something and speed under 65mph but I just let it run. The bonus only equates to something like $100 every two weeks. I'm not sweating for that.

I am paid a combo of mileage and hourly and earn about 11 grand a month.
Equates to around $43 per hour but if converted to mileage is probably well over a buck and a half per mile.
Not all jobs are created equal.Rugerfan, Another Canadian driver and LtlAnonymous Thank this.
