It's fairly bad to revive a 6 year old thread, but to revive it and be 100% wrong is just funny to me.
Before you say I am wrong, show me a reg that requires this. Not a truck stop tale, but an actual reg. You won't find one.

Sorry, but I don't think there's a law that requires a company to pay break down, unless your paid by the hour

Sorry brother, but you are wrong, now I know companies that will help with a bus ticket home, if you leave on good terms, but there is no law on this, if you believe there is? Please post a link that show the actual law

They dont have too. There's no law regarding this. Now, as crzyjarmans said.. there's companies who will put you in a hotel as in TAKE CARE OF YOU and there's companies who simply dont give a #### about you. It's company preference and it differs.

I made Flagstaff and Tucumcari fine. On the way across New Mexico, the truck developed a squeal above 2700rpm (60mph).
