No. the correct answer is PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. I don't blame carriers for paying substandard rates. I blame these super truckers who are tripping over each other to pull the garbage and then blaming everyone else for their poor choices.
When it's $1.48/mile versus .48/mile why not aspire to be an o/o?

I just purchased a place because it has clean well water and is not connected to an urban sewer system. I have zero interest in living in a city or urban area.
Your goal in life may be to live in an urban cesspool of humanity it is not mine.DSK333, gokiddogo, nightgunner and 3 others Thank this. -

there is nothing wrong with living in trailer house on a farm and you should be ashamed to look down on people that CHOOSE to live that way.DSK333, gokiddogo, nightgunner and 3 others Thank this. -

I don't think where or how you live is as relevant as the fact that if you're an OO you should be making enough money to live how you want without stressing the wallet. While I don't appreciate people coming from areas that are cheap to live into my area and pushing rates down bc they "can" do it cheaper than what it pays, I'm not bothered by those folks coming in and getting market rates and bringing it home and living well.
Living cheap doesn't mean you need to work for cheap. -
Oh and by that last line you obviously have no knowledge of me personally. My expectations are for clean safe water where I live. My opinion is that is not available on a city water supply. So I chose to go for a clean water supply. Hint.. I did not buy property near a toxic waste heap, like Chicago.DSK333 and spyder7723 Thank this.
