Maybe it's just me, but when I'm trying to dock and there's a truck facing toward me with their headlights on and the truck at the dock next to me has headlights on, I can't see very well----when the yard is dark.
I notice some drivers just use running lights and parking lights in dark yards while others keep their headlights on.
Anyone else have this problem or are my eye balls just too sensitiveㅋ
When navigating a shipper / receiver at night, dim your lights please

If you are at the dock already, there is no need to have lights on; maybe running so others trying to dock can see the other trucks but not headlights.

Nope not to sensitive. This is one of those ol school unwritten courtesy rules that isn't taught anymore.
When ever I'm roaming around at a customer or a truck stop and come up on someone backing up I turn my headlights off. And once I'm docked always off.
It's really just common sense and courtesy.JV_620, HL Drvr, Voorhees84 and 11 others Thank this. -

It's a common courtesy that is gone from the field. Bunch of dang nit wits now a days.

Mine are always off in a dock. I've been backing into a regular parking spot at a receiver and had a guy turn his brights on while I was backing in next to him. Blinded me for a bit....

I'm not a violent person, because I tend to black out and do bad bad things when I lose my temper. So, woosah....
