Ok, this is exactly what I'd love to do. I bet it felt fantastic to pay with cashier's check.

Keep expenses down and save like a madman.

    Newbie question. What is pmb?

    Thanks

Good point - about driving through often. That would make it easy to get home. And Las Vegas does have more than a few ways to pick your pockets.

Glad I asked. You make a great point. I won't be making that mistake. Thanks.

    Fortunately, I'm on a month-to-month. So just 30 days notice is req'd.

Another good reason not to make any moves until I've settled into a good job.

    Awesome advice. Thanks again!

you save a lot more then rent money. your not paying utilities either.

but, the driver license might be a sticky situation. not having a permanent home address.

The UPS stores give you a street address and a box number, which is easily noted as an apartment number for purposes of filling out paperwork. Only if someone Google's the address and gets down into Street View will they see the UPS logo...

just make sure, that when you do give your 30 days. it's HANDWRITTEN. probably also best to send certified signature required. instead of just walking into office and say here you go.

i did a computer print and ink signed. turned in with check payment. and ended up filing a complaint with the attorney general to get the collections off my credit.

No apartment has ever asked me anything. It's not their business what I was doing or not doing.
