I have always found the best results with the 100-400 size outfits. Dealt with one larger carrier. No desire to ever do that again. And why anyone would stick around long enough to have their truck repossessed when a carrier they linked up with goes down the tubes, go figure. But with some of the bigger carriers, I have seen lots of times were an individual is barely taking in enough to cover the truck and the road expenses that the family might have to live homeless like OP described. And that was with no threat that the carrier was going bankrupt and had no more capital credit available.

Or, don't sit around and feel sorry for yourself because you didn't get paid. If I were to ever be put in that situation you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be leased to another carrier by the end of the following week, but then again I run my business so that if something like that were to happen I wouldn't sweat it, its something that is less common anymore than common sense, its called being fiscally responsible.

Because the big guys NEVER go belly up owing anyone and everyone money, huh?

The issue seems to be more about how well the company is run than about how many trucks they operate.

I don't believe that he implied that there is anything wrong with them, some people say the same things over and over, that is what he was pointing out.

I've heard that from more than one person before. :biggrin_25522:
