frankly, when we all read the thread, he never mentions that point...why....is what i will ask...did he leave out that as well as many other things when he posted here..?? did he not ask, who pays..?? this would be yet in another of the typical newbie mistakes. maybe his trainer never told him..?? that IS possible isn't it..??

but as many have already said, just go the 4 miles, for crying out loud, even dispatch KNEW it was only 4 miles away...

he handled it poorly...many of us KNOW how we would have handled it, and have done so in the past.

he most likely got DAC'd, refusing a load, quitting with out notice, maybe if they want to, quiting while under a load...if they really wanna mess with him...

    what ever....i got a job, he doesn't.......you got a job, he doesn't....

Oh by the way, that link you posted regarding Calif Drivers handbook or something like that, I can't get it to open. It says I don't have permission to open? Maybe because I'm in Canada? I don't know why?

send me a PM with the link, if you would..

it should not matter you are canadian....well, at least not on the surface....:biggrin_2559:

i just tried the link form here, it works....do you have any blocking program in your browser turned on..??

do you have the latest Adobe Reader installed..?? it's only a PDF file...check your reading program, like Adobe, make sure it's up to date, or maybe you do not even have it now..??

    www.adobe.com

you want Adobe reader...go to the downloads, when there, look at the right side, there are 4 downloads. get the free reader there, and flash player as well, and shockwave...i do not know what Adobe Air is all about...

    >>>>.there are NO LAWS that say a business MUST HAVE scales on site

And regardless, who knows how accurate they are or how frequently they calibrate it...You still need to hit a CAT...I don't think you can use the excuse "the shippers scale said I was ok"...Can you?

I've been to some that give you a printout, that may hold water, but I've also been to some that don't and I wouldn't think I could use the above excuse on those...

I do have a silly question as a noobie.

Even if the company pays the overweight fine, won't it still go on the drivers CSA score?
