that driver must have had to pass you on the right or the far left as you impeded traffic flow, but your truck was at top speed yet still below the posted speed limit, and you applied a negative label to him. mature post. did your trainer give you the idea?

    carry on "driver".

thanks for the heads up. there are times when one has to step into the restricted lane due to the drag races that frequently occur but then getting the passing over with and stepping back out quickly is prudent.apparently, the busted driver stayed beyond his welcome. probably not a cheap ticket.

oh yeah.construction zones are areas that one has to bide his time regardless of the drag race or other big truck caused back up until the hwy opens back up. i bet it was a very expensive ticket-

    Lol ....

Funny you say that . I am surprised I didn't get pulled over for It today ...

People were coming on the highway , so I got over for the guy next to me to get over. Then after everyone merged ( with my signal on ) that mother ###### would not let me over . I sped up , he sped up...
It went like that for about 4 miles . Dude was making me mad . Next time hell with it. I am not moving...:biggrin_25513:

Hi tangerineGT, like the old saying goes, nice guys finish last. I used to move over too, to be a "nice guy", but after many times like you described, I just don't do that, and I've had "the finger", horns blown, and some drive down the shoulder for while, but remember, people on the road have the right of way, and people merging on have to yield. Matter of fact, there used to be yield signs at the bottom of entrance ramps. An Alice Cooper song comes to mind, "No More Mr.Nice Guy".:biggrin_2559:

    You are 100% correct. ...

I have just always be taught you know if I can get over to do so , but man after that being hung out to dry after letting someone over so other traffic could merge onto the hwy. I am gonna have a whole new outlook on being "mr. Nice guy"

Oh well ya know , lesson learned as they say. Lol

I have said this many times, not on the forum but to friends, instead of giving the left lane to cars they should give the left 2 lanes to trucks unless they are exiting.

Most times we are thru vehicles with no intention of exiting the interstate. Cars that use the interstate are generally local traffic that travels 4-5 miles. By forcing us to use the two right lanes it forces the cars to compete with us for space. By moving the trucks to the left lanes, I am positive congestion would decrease.....try to explain that to the soccer mom's though....

Hi chicknwing, so true, just shows where these peoples heads are at who make these decisions. Especially in Chicago, with those express lanes. Probably 90% of the trucks going through there are trying to bypass the tollway, and don't stop, and yet they stick us in the local lanes, where people are getting on and off, and I can't tell you how many accidents I've seen in the local lanes.:smt102

You do realize that to a car, the entire right side of our trucks are a huge blind spot, right? There's an actual reason why almost every single law on passing limits it to the left and not the right.
