When there is vehicle on the side of the road ahead

What gets me is that if texting is so bad, and we spend millions in creating laws, enforcing laws, telling people texting is bad, why don't we simply stop the phone companies from offering it. I know there are other things but it could save us some money and lives.

 

How exactly are you going to stop the phone companies from offering it? A lockdown? What if you're a passenger and not the driver?

 

for those drivers who don't pull over u can ask the mother who lost her 19 yr old son and her father who were on a road call Infort wayne Iin about three weeks ago when a empty car carrier tore into a celedon driver on the sude if the road. killing both road service guys. o dont want to forget two weeks later celedon driver who lost a leg. also died.

 

Moved over a while back for a tow truck hooking up a 4 wheeler on the shoulder. Unbelievably it was another tow truck that passed me on the right as we were going by the ones on the shoulder.

 

Had something similar happen with cops once. Trooper had someone pulled over on 74, I moved over and a sheriff passes me on the right and flies right past the trooper. Couldn't believe it.

 

I'm amazed even when the car wrecks. The driver says " I didn't see it". Like the road workers with huge signs and lights. Or the 4 cop cars with all their lights going.

it would be nice if all 4 wheelers had to ride along in a big rig. If they ever have to goto court.

 

I move over for emergency vehicles, but am not changing lanes for some yahoo who doesnt put out triangles and wants to take a nap on the shoulder of the interstate.

 

how do you know he is taking a nap?? maybe he had a medical emergency and couldnt make it any further...maybe he is on the phone with dispatch or road services and is about to get out and put them out??

I agree, you don't know (usually) the reason someone is sitting on the side of the road so the best bet is to move over if can
