Today is one of those few days where you strike gold. 1000 mile round trip with some cement. Just in mileage pay is 500 plus 6hr detention@ 30 hr, gonna have 12 hours of breakdown pay wheel seal went on trailer. Looking around a 1000 for 36hrs. Not too bad. Hopefully get a few more of these runs before the rig moves

Running Schlumberger's cement. They use 3rd party drivers, we run their equipment but hang our own signs and dot #. Kinda like trip leasing. I dont get hourly pay but it averages out to around 30 a hr.

Considered drive away tow away. We wont have to go elog's either. Thats the 2nd exemption

Not exactly a legal eagle operation either. They wont tell you but they half expect you to do a run like that, almost 1000mi as a turn, they won't ##### if you get a hotel and get 10 off so. Safety dude is ex sheriff lol. Schlumberger loves us cuz we run loose leaf

Yep but they don't unload. We have a better gig than they do. Were 1st call for slb. And acme is way bigger than us. We don't even have 20 drivers. We have a good reputation with some of the higher ups down in sugar land

I've always wondered why you see those oilfield service trucks with another sign taped on the door. Guess they use third parties when they have more work than regular hands?

No its not that they have more work than hands. Even during the slow times Schlumberger still uses us before their drivers. I honestly doubt their saving much money. They only start their hands at 14 a hr. While we dont don't get paid by the hour it averages out anywhere from 25-35hr. We run all the bulk cement for horseheads and strasburg yard. Out west Schlumberger uses acme, crest and a few others. So far were the only 3rd party company that unloads the cement. It used to be we just drove it to location and they unloaded us. We fought for a year about having to unload but they were gonna can us if we didn't
