Where can I get a 2024 Emergency response guidebook today? Would the shipper have one I could take?

Would you be asking about this! LINK

If so you can download this and use it on an iPad or like device!

I have several things like this on my iPad.

    That would be it.

Only thing is, by law if you’re hauling any hazmat you need to have a hard copy of it with your bills.

And for those who haul hazmat regularly, where the ERG is it’s also a good idea to keep this.

I agree. I do think at some future point 172.602 will be satisfied simply by having the information available electronically as well.

No it won’t be because the purpose of the phsyical book is if there is an accident, it is proof that you have done your due diligence in preparing the transport of the material.

The question that the op should be asked “why don’t you have one if you know you are going to haul hazmat material?”

I don't think it is that simple. Even in the case of a bad horrific accident things like a smartphone and an iPad can still survive. I have several 300+ page PDFs on my smartphone.

In general, I agree it's best to have a physical printed copy with you as mandated by the law. But in all honesty, none of us can predict what will happen in years and decades to come. This was my main point.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.
