You can buy better, stronger ones on the internet. Better yet find a welder to make you a good one with a better handle. The ones supplied usually suck.

Everytime I've asked a truckstop. Got told no.
Needle nose vise grips work great though and can be had anywhere.
Could see if any dealer or repair sells them. Truck or trailer.
Quick search on Google shows iowa80 having the standard tool for $5. Etrailer.com has a T tool for $8.

Ask any driver that has chains hanging. I know I have three or four of them in my side box at all times. I'm sure they'd happily part with one, I would.

I had to use a hammer once when I misplaced my camtool. The claw part of the hammer. Worked pretty well
