Once again, read manufacturer recommendation on cable size. It's pretty much always 4 gauge. If your inverter is larger then 1,500 they have dual battery input with 2 sets of cables and still 4 gauge wire.

Not saying you're wrong was just specifying what reverse polarity was. Yeah it's easy if you read the instructions but to others it is complete rocket science.

Personally I only read instructions went something like this: otherwise I like the challenge of trying to figure stuff out on my own

Lol....When we had our first child I had to put together the crib. I'm a guy and don't need instructions!!! When I was done, instead of the gate lowering you had to raise it

Yeah. Some people don't understand we are dealing with high current which is the key ingredient to starting a fire. There should be some sort of fuse or breaker near the source. Nothing is as simple as is may seem. Especially when you are dealing with safety.

But yeah, I'll buy the inverter, check the directions, and if not comfortable, I'll take it to a professional.

    Thanks to you all!!!

I'd go to a stereo installation shop if you don't do it yourself. Gaurantee it would be much cheaper than a truck dealer or truckstop. Someone just mentioned that idea in a Schneider thread.
