Even if I bring my own, that's what they want me to have. I'm sure they had too many guys showing up to orientation with Harbor Freight ratchet straps. They run mostly dedicated freight, so I would assume they know what's needed. I'm not going to argue with them about it, and I like to be overprepared, anyway.
Added up the lowest prices online I could find, and I'd be right around $2100 for everything except the timbers, pipe racks, blankets, and coil mats. No descriptions on those, so I don't want to go buy the wrong stuff. The timbers, I can source locally at an Amish sawmill.

You mean harber freight aint good enuff ? They'll give you your $39.99 back for those big rachet straps when they let go and ya send that load of rebar sliding down a I-65 off ramp.

It's plenty good enough for my own uses, but I wouldn't trust it for commercial work. No amount of slapping the strap and saying it ain't going nowhere is gonna help.....
That being said, I bought a set of 4 2" straps and axle straps to haul my tractor, but it only weighs 2400#. -

So far I'm enjoying it, aside from tarping. But that's just part of the job, and I'm getting better every day.
First couple paychecks were small, but that was to be expected with short weeks, and having deductions taken out for gear. I'm back up around 3k paychecks now.TripleSix Thanks this. -
