WalMart IS NOT A TRUCK STOP!!!
Please stop treating WalMart as a truck stop people. This why so many of them no longer allow truck parking. It’s even getting hard to find one where your allowed to park long enough to do your grocery shopping. Let alone spend the night. Let’s change public perception of truck drivers...instead of living up to the profile

 

I agree, I was simply answering a question.

It's very true that there are those that have given the rest of us a bad name, but I think also that as population centers continue to increase in density, available real estate is squeezed, and many areas simply can't afford the room for us any more.

If the manager at Walmart has a boot put on your steer, you are screwed!!!! Most truck stops will allow you to drop your trailer for a few hours. All you have to do is ask and sign the sheet. Then drop your trailer and use your personal conveyance and bobtail to the nearest Walmart. As long as you park way out in the parking lot, they won’t have a problem with your tractor at all. Then use your personal conveyance when done and go back to the truck stop.

 

Walmart trucks can park on any Walmart property. This is a fact.

 

It is also not a bad idea to let the manager know that you are just shopping and will leave. I know this to be fact.

 

Actually I am going to back @Chinatown on this one. Only because I actually seen a Walmart Asst-manager ask a Walmart company driver to leave. It was a small grocery only store right here near where I live that did not have room. This is like everything else with this dang job. What happens out in Provo Utah is not what happens over here in Hampton Virginia. Time and time again on this subject and others I see people trying to make one size fits all opinions. This job (aint) that simple folks!
