Kind of a silly question but I'm curious. For the written test, do they have to go to a DMV, or how does that work? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but I am trying to understand it all because I really want to do this.
Where do CR England students go to take the written test?

Omg after we put all that time on your other CRE thread... you still wanna have a go with them?

CRE was my first choice starter company before I joined these forums. If its because their HQ is close to you, why don't you try Prime, or one of the dozen others there in SLC.
I learned from reading reviews they will teach you in an automatic truck. So once you pass your road test you will have a CDL with an automatic transmission restriction. You will be trucking for a year and leave the company not knowing how to shift tractors.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
But to answer your question, most of those megas, I learned from reading and youtube vids, they will shuttle you down to the DMV to take your written test. It's usually after like day 3 being there. So if you can manage it, go down and get the CDL study guide at your nearest DMV--they are free--and start studying now. Watch some youtube vids on pretrip inspections. There's a lot to know there.
You could also just do what I did and study, then take the written test on your own and just fork out the $20 that way you don't have to worry about it and maybe you talk them into getting you into a truck quicker than the rest.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
