Here is a list of load board scammers that book freight with real brokers and then post up the same load for less money, or "for more money" but you never get paid. Please do not ever book freight with these scoundrels. If you see them with a load posted, please search for the "real" broker moving the load.

Load boards have a rating on them. At least the one I use does. There is also a thread on here for that

Brokers need to be more heavily regulated. Repeatedly they will put wording in contracts which waives Carmack rights. They also insert language which allows them to hold back receivables; not only on the current load as subject of a claim but pending receivables. One has nothing to do with the other. Many Brokers do not have an assignment from the Shipper or cargo owner to file and perfect a claim. Without that, their actions are not appropriate. Many Brokers routinely seek to "buffalo" a claim through without the Carrier or its insurer being able to perfect an investigation. I am wondering if there is any activity underway with the FMCSA to obligate Brokers to act responsibly, ethically, and legally. More regulation is needed against Brokers.

This industry doesn't need any more regulations.

I'd like to see the surety bond amount raised to be more in line with volume of work. That measly little 75k is nothing to large mega brokerages that have that out in a single day. Meanwhile, the smaller ones might have 75k worth of open invoices in an entire month. All this lip service about "leveling the playing field" when it comes to Independents versus megas but nobody ever mentions the brokerage gap at all.

The only thing missing from that list is all the rest of them. They’re all bottom feeding thieves.
