Yeah, all tankers only load and unload from the front and sides. Lol. Were just like flatbeds:biggrin_25513: lol.

In my neck of the woods the tanker companies have at least some doubles and know that it is too hard for us to find parking at truck stops that is guaranteed to be pull-through. So they are good about letting trucks use their terminals, load plants, etc. And if you get down around the refineries where tankers are loading/unloading you will see us sleeping all over on the sides of the roads, empty lots, etc. Because of the number of us that are pulling doubles and run similar routes we learn and share with each other where the good spots are to take our 10's and not be hassled or blocked in.

Keep in mind tankers only account for around 25% of the total freight moved by truck in North America (according to the ATA). About half of that is fuel hauling which is typically local work. Chemical and Fertilizer is something around 3% of total freight, but accounts for 28% of total revenue.

Personally I take my 10 at IGH or Marriott branded hotels exclusively.
Decent loyalty programs and with our tiny tank trailers we rarely have to drag the tandems over hoods.

Yep! Never back up. All racks are pull throughs and more than enough room to get three trucks side by side between all pipe racks and equipment in those plants.

I have some ocean front property in South Dakota for sale too.:D

I hope your joking.... or I have to assume you haven’t actually been around dairy farms since the 80s.

The milk market is garbage, organic or conventional. Maybe big ag farms are doing ok. Anyway, back to tankers....

Go to several dairies if you think tankers "pull thru". Try Winston-Salem, NC, United in Charleston, WV. and talk about "pulling thru", pull thru Laurel, Md and see how you like it. Blind side it in at Hunter's Farms in High Point, NC. LOL

I'm out of southern Ontario and the dairy farmers are doing fine up here. All the ag business has been up for a long time. Anytime interest rates are low and land values are high the farmers do well in my experience.

Ahh I see. Quite a difference in the two markets. Thanks for clarifying!
