I carry a knife to remove pesky door seals . Been thinking about a smaller 9mm or 380 pocket carry but I'm good with them hands if you know what I mean . Would it be a crime to carry my AR under the bunk ? Idk been boxing for 20 yrs and I'm from a bad neighborhood so my Spidey senses are always tingling.

I think you've got a pretty good idea, but I would rather carry on my person. Find a holster that you can wear while driving. More practical in my opinion.

Well when do you think you'll ever need it?
Someone walks up to your truck and you're sitting in the seat, you'll want it near the front seat.
Someone climbs up in your truck while you're in the bunk you'll wish it wasn't up front but back in the sleeper.
You're fueling up and you need it and it's back in the sleeper....
You're walking across the parking lot and need it and it's in the truck...
    .
If you want to have a gun you'll have to carry it on you at all times, it can never be more than a few feet from you because you may just need it and it won't be there.
And then you'll worry if you're allowed to carry a gun here and what would happen if you get caught with it.
    Ugh :(

If you're going to, best place is in a holster on your person.

    This is irrelevant. Nobody know
I understand your post and I repspect it. .
The legality of it is ok though. Local owner operator. I don’t leave the state brotha.
Some guys like myself always have a gun though. Just excercising my rights.
So just started a thread to see if anyone else had some creative ideas.

I clip the holster on the back of my passenger seat when driving other than that it's on my person.

If I'm just running in Alaska only which I do most of the time I carry a handgun in my tote bag. Sleeping on the side of the road there's a lot of bears and if I have to go take a leak in the middle of the night I take my handgun with me. Of course I'm out in the sticks not around cities like you guys.
If I have to run into Canada I leave my handgun at home. Staying out of prison as a good thing.
