Just out of curiosity, where do you park when you get back home?
Do you have any problems with your neighbors if you park it at home?
Where do you park your rig?

A little bit of everywhere! HAHAHA
Sometimes I bring the Petercar home and drop the tailer in our "designated truck parking area" and I don't have any problems. But then again my neghibor has a old school bus in his back yard full of machine tools! HAHA
My buddy drives for a trucking company here locally and I am trying to get a "parking spot" in his company parking lot. -
Park mine in my driveway...Big Drive+Big House+Country Living = Do What Ya Want!!!!

My father-in-law is a farmer and owns around 3000 acres. My wife and I built a house across from his shop. Just park at his shop.

It's very rural were I live and we park just about anywhere we want to as long as the tires clear the road.
I've read other threads on here were you guys in Cali are really having a hard time with parking though.I hate to hear that for you guys.As if driving in that state is not bad enough without adding that aggravation to you. BTW Ron....Hows the new biz treating you? Are you doing ok with it? -
Speaking of parking problems, my next door neighbor once again called code enforcement on me. He now claims that I'm running a "Truck Repair Service" out of my house. So I'm going to have code enforcement come over and "discuss" this issue with my neighbor. According to the civil code, I can park my rig in the driveway as long as it does not encroach onto city property. The bottom line is my neighbor is an %^&^%$E%# and calls the cops and code enforcement every time I park my fifth-wheel trailer in front of my house (which is legal for up to 72 hours) to load it up to go camping. They never cite me but they do have to make a "showing" because he's a retired deputy and the SOB bypasses the Watch Commander and goes straight to the top to complain. I like to kick his ### but I know better, that's what he wants me to do. But unfortunately for him, I'm not that stupid.
Short of filing an injunction against him, anyone have any good ideas? -
I had a similar incident about 14 years ago with a retired LEO. I had some gravel delivered and the driver did the transfer infront of his house, pissed him off. I was writing the driver a check when Delbert DF come storming up my driveway. He started screaming and cussing at me and I told him to wait untill I was done with the driver. Then Delbert DF turned to my wife and started screaming at her. Since he went after my wife I was never charge after I grabbed him by the neckand slamed him on the ground. He also ended paying for the standby for the truck because if he would have just waited to talk to me there would no problem. It still cost time and money, but sometimes you have to go thru that kind of crap. -
my truck is in my driveway. I have acerage but we are HEAVILY wooded so until I get my uncle over with his mulcher to clear my shop spot and widen the drive I can only get a tractor here. I can park a trailer on the power line easment on my property but I prefer not too just because it's kinda soft when it's wet. The local wrecker co has a locked lot abot 1/4 mile down the road and I park the co truck and trailer I'm driving now down there.

Got a little update.
Received a call this morning from Code Enforcement. The Officer was very courteous and polite. We discussed the parking issue and I was honest about my end of the story. Told her all about my neighbors penchant for calling every time I either park my fifth-wheel out front/in the drive or when I either park one of my rigs in the drive. She told me that she had on record every time he called Code Enforcement, but she couldn't account for the times he called OPD.
Bottom line:
I can't park any of my rigs in the drive (I'm out of code) even though OPD told me it was ok.
Get this now: Since he also called in my one-ton as a company truck I can't even park it in the drive because it's a "Company Truck".
I told the officer that I use the truck for work but it's also used to tow my trailer and do family stuff too. She told me that now it "falls" into a gray area and he can still call on it and when the code enforcement field officers come out, it will be up to their discretion as to whether or not I receive a fine for violating the Civic Code.
I'm a little stuck now as I can't even say "boo" to the SOB without him calling out OPD.
My wife is telling me to be "patient". She's says "What goes around, comes around".
Boy I sure do hope so and soon. -
put magnetic signs on it so you can take them of when you go home.
In WI I could park my 350 no problem but I couldn't park my 450 which looked EXACTLY the same. The late 80's f450 was the same truck with stronger suspension basicaly. the new ones look different then the 350's.
this is the thing I love most about TX. this would never happen here. And if it did you'd jut shoot him! lol
