Cummins wants 1500, google search is anywhere from 650 to 2300. Ebay 724, 956.
Are the cheapo's remans? Is cummins that marking them up that much?
Where did you buy your last turbo?
I'm on the fence here. N14 with original turbo and just over 1m miles. No end play but the center looks like its going to rust in two. $1500 is a chunk of change for preventive maintenance on something that still seems to work. Doesn't seem to whistle at all like maybe it should. How many miles is recommended for replacement?
Where does everyone buy their Turbos?

Look at Pittsburgh Power. They can sell you a bigger tubo if you ever want more power some day or better MPG. I know Detroit was putting the same turbo on all their S60 because they wanted to save a little money. Think they say bigger turbo more power and more air, but it take a little longer to spoll up the turbo. It worth a call and see what they say or turbo you should get.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -

I purchased an EGR cooler, for 450$, new from ebay, 5* online seller, good reputation, vs 1200-1500$ at dealer. After i spent 700$ to install it, ..
.....was leaking.
I'm done with eBay.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I'm not doing Ebay, but some of the online places worry me just the same.
I might give lojacks area diesel guy a call and see if/what they want to ship it to youngstown area.
And 062 guy turbo exchange also. 2 recommendations on that one.
Pittsburgh power doesn't list anything on their site for cummins. I'm sure they would be more than cummins anyhow. Not interest in more power other than going from 500 to 525.
