Not to burst your bubble, but in a new truck, 25k down is bare minimum with great credit history. That's not even 20 percent. You may want to give loan mountain a call. They are a second tier loan company.

I would work on repairing your credit first, while saving money for a bigger down payment. Bad credit means very high interest rate.

I want to buy a truck....a big issue I see is that all the different finance companies I've looked into ask a lot of questions that are just plain none of their business. They can find out all they need to know about an applicant by running a credit check, a criminal history, and maybe your MVR. I've had them ask for account numbers for credit cards, and other such silliness.

To get a new truck from Lone Mountain it ranges anywhere from 12k to 15k for a down payment with the monthly truck payment around 2500.00. Thats for 60 months or 5 years. You could go that route but you need to tell them what you plan on doing with truck, if you plan on leasing with a company, business plan etc.

Also make sure you plan on spending the 300-900 on dyno test, inspection, insurance. Plus another 300 to 1000 to drive it back to where ever you live.

They want to see you with business sense as well. So make sure you have your plan and it planned out.

First thing you should think about is "why is your credit as bad as it is"
2nd if you go buy a new trk your gonna be into almost 200,000 by the time its paid off and thats IF you make it past the 1st yr..
Save some coin and buy a junker and see if you can make a profit with a much smaller investment first...A 20,000 truck makes just as much as a 150,000 dollar truck..Unless you live in cali you dont need a new trk to make more $.
If you have to go to creditors to get a new truck without jumping through hoops, somethin will bite you in the ###..

loan mountain is a scam operation most like any major carriers lease program.

you WILL end up paying twice what the truck is worth once their "little" program is done. if you even make it there.

I paid $19k for an ol FLD classic. It seems to haul freight on the same roads and speed as brand new trucks..... 2 months of new truck payments totals the entire amount I've spent on maintenance so far since purchase in August.

    Why buy new again??
