So you will pay tens of thousands of dollars just to lease a truck because you do not want to send Uncle Sam a few thousand?

Understand that this is a tax deduction not a write off. In other words, if you deduct 10k in income that only means you will not send uncle sam 3k in taxes. Used 30% for the simple math.

An example is your mortgage. Yea you can deduct the $10,000 you paid the bank in interest just so you don't have to pay Uncle Sam $3,000. At least where I went to school, that means another $7,000 in my pocket for the year.

OP, if that is all the money you have you do not have enough. Yes you can purchase a truck for that amount but what are you going to do for fuel, repairs and other expenses?

I will never understand why people do not clean out the inside of a truck BEFORE taking photos.

But that is a Purdeeeee truck. Wants too much for it though.

I saw that one. The only issue for me is that there is no room for a drop axle. Some of our truck trailer combos weigh in at 80k empty.

Whoa whoa whoa. I never said these scam lease to own deals are a wise investment.

I answered a tax question. That's it. Nothing more.

Not at the moment. I have a 94 KW that is doing just fine for now.

For those that think new trucks are the way to go, I have been driving this truck for over a year and it is yet to leave me on the side of the road. With the exception of running out of fuel when the fuel gauge quit working.... LOL It has only been in the shop 2x in the last year. New turbo and brakes and tires.

I hear ya. Even though my trucks running good I'm constantly on the prowl for a good deal. Figure if I can find a whole used truck cheaper than an inframe or replacement tranny, well I might just start my own little bone yard.
