Really this is a joke?
Starting out with junk will only cost you more money.
There is already plenty of crap trucks on the road. Many of those 10k wonders need to be in the junk yard and not on the road.

10k isn't going to buy you much. 10k might buy you something that needs 20k in work done before it hauls its first load. 25k +/- 5k can buy you a serviceable truck only needing some minor work but there is a ton of money pits in that price range as well.

I'm always on Kijiji looking for random truck parts and what not. I can honestly say I don't start seeing trucks I would consider as "decent" starter trucks until I get into the mid $40k range (Canuck dollars).

Bunch of BS answers here....my first truck i bought in 2010 for 8000 . It was a 2001 century 12.7 Detroit with 950k miles .....cost me 1500 in brakes to get it dot legal i ran that truck until 2014 and sold it in my divorce for 6500 with 1.7 million miles.....
That #### truck never saw a hook and never cost me more than 10cpm in maint....don't knock the cheap truck but i found in in truck paper in az had to drive out from KS to bring it home. -
