    I just noticed that has cracked across the middle. Must have done it when it cooled down.

    I was looking at that. I'd bolt, clamp or other wise secure that to a heavy piece of iron, just like it lays. Groove out the crack with a die grinder. Heat all of it with a rosebud, or put it in an oven and get it to about 300 degrees. Weld from the original crack back toward the center. Then leave it secured until completely cooled out.
    I say this not knowing if you preheated it or just welded it, with no disrespect intended. Generally, cracks like that occur when things aren't heated evenly, or at all.

    That machine is 1 size up, and way newer than my Squarewave 175.
    Not bad for playing around. Did you weld the backside as well?
