Where is everyone #5

About 2003ish I seen the David Lee, Sammy reunion tour together in Columbus. It was the night they got in a fight and didnt play together again. It sucked bad. As much as I liked them it was painful then. Cant imagine 17 years later any better.

 

Big band that's been playing together 5 decades. Big, rich sound. I saw Santana and Earth Wind and Fire play at the same venue. Outdoor concert on a riverfront. They set the stage up on a barge. 100000 people showed up. They started playing their old songs and the crowd was groovin. It was like a religious experience.

 

I'm more of a Van Hagar guy. Sammy just comes off as a super chill, go with the flow and have a good time type of guy. Not to mention he's in his 70's and still out playing. Still has the voice too:


And yes, that is Jason Bonham on the drums. Son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bohnam.

 

That sounds awesome! Never been to a show that big.

Best live shows I've seen were a tie between Honeymoon Suite and 54-40. Both played small venues (under 400 people) and they both made the songs they recorded 20-30 years ago sound like crap.

Derry Grehan of Honeymoon Suite is severely underrated. He's as, if not more talented than Edward Van Halen IMO.

 

I was at that show. I enjoy the songs from the DLR era more then the newer, but I don't mind if sammy sings em.

Our church has been closed few weeks now over the virus and my tithe has been piling up in my wallet. I got takeout at a mexican restaurant few weeks back in NC and realized this will probably kill their family livelihood.. I was the only customer i saw. so i gave it to the lady who owned the place. Her and all her kids were there and im sure they threw out more than a hundred bux of food that day but i felt better. Said "the Lord sent me to bring you this." She was pretty teary.

I encourage you guys who can afford to give a little to do so just to help keep spirits up.

Morning, headed down to Cranbury NJ for 7:00am then re loading in North Bergan heading up to williamson Tues morning

 

Unfortunately there is probably someone that will haul it. No matter how much we try, there's just too many that don't get it. Leave that crap sit and rot until they're willing to pay.

What really gets me is how cheap most of the stuff going into FL is, even south of I4. Yet it gets snatched up in a heartbeat.
