That is the frame I had on the old lowboy. It’s now been grafted to a 75 A model. It too says Freightliner instead of Airliner on the hangers.....

 

I always called them Fruitliners

 

Pfft I feel like a nerd because as soon as you said “coin” I thought about a video game called, “Skyrim”

 

we can stretch about 75% without a forklift but always need a forklift to shrink.

there are things I enjoy and things I don’t. As you know with blades, they are really done as a team - in our case there are 11 people - and that can be challenging personality wise. Then combine that with being gone from home for months at a time and high stress situations like delays or mechanical issues.

I really do miss pulling my big trailer and the solitude most of the time. And there is plenty of stress doing that as well.

All that said,

you know why we do this.....

Guess he’s calling it quits...... got to meet him in person a few times. Great guy with lots of stories.....

 

I hadn't seen it setting at his shop in a good long while.

His son got killed in a motorcycle wreck here a few months back. Might be part of the reason.
