    Truth be told I did.!
Gotta let the woman get their way every now & then.

I was all liquored up one night & ate an 14oz strip steak right out of the fridge with just a sprinkle of garlic salt on it. It was good I think.. :)

I would want a wood deck if I was you and going to a 3 axle trailer.

one would assume you would be loading more single piece over weight loads like presses or mill rolls or similar. I would want my blocking on a wooden deck or metal machinery skids not on aluminum deck.

That's cause I was looking at triaxle drop decks, with front and rear lift axles. I'd like a 34" deck height, air lift on front and rear axles, ramp/leveler kit, 4 tool boxes, dunnage rack, strobes...

And it's all Tug's fault for getting us thinking about new trailers.

I'm thinking more like farm, construction, and military equipment, so I could load a bit heavy, maybe up to 50 or 55 net weight.

You bring up a very good point, an all aluminum deck has nothing to nail to. And metal on metal... well I guess if ya carried plenty of skid mats that problem could be solved, but still nothing to nail blocking to.

If we were looking at being that heavy all the time, and loading smaller single peices like that, then I think a double drop with an all wood floor would be required.

Of course I'm not buying anything right now. It's a long ways off, but when we do, I want something as versatile as possible, and a triaxle drop seems to be the way to go.
