Not just any Eagle though...... Jerome Increase Case chose “Old Abe” to be the mascot of his Company for a reason. Old Abe was a true living Eagle during the civil war times. How many Eagles you hear of carrying a note like a pigeon or giving a warning cry when the enemy was spotted from the sky? Pretty famous Eagle actually...... J.I. Case had good equipment, but like any other company, it’s only as good as the ones running it.

Ironic as hell that we were talking about him today, this article is on the front of OKC's sports page this morning.

    Ouch shots fired.

I’m not much of a CFL fan but these names ring a bell. Warren Moon, Bud Grant, joe Kapp, Andre Rison, Joe Theisman, Doug Flutie, Joe Horn, Fred Biletnikoff.

    Love this Joe Horn story:
Joe Horn is THE American dream. Down to his final $6, Horn spent $3.99 on a Jerry Rice video from a local Blockbuster and made a highlight video of himself working out and sent the tape to professional teams North America. One response Horn received was from the Memphis Mad Dogs of the CFL. In one year, 1,414 yards on 71 catches and scored five TDs. He retired as Saints career leader in TDs.”

I do know that Sooner alumni Adrian Peterson was almost the NFL single season rushing leader, falling short by only ~20 yards because his dummy of a coach pulled him from games that were fait acompli. That still sticks on my craw.

No more teasing from me. Go Sooners!
