After the first set that was half a hole off , I'm not sure what part of this drawing left the fab guy thinking it needed to be 4 1/2" overall length, but that's what I ended up with. 15662634344266650699976792361523.jpg

The hell of it is he was the only one who has a 10.5 mm drill bit. Maybe the third time is the charm.

If it’s a gun you’ve never fired, most important thing you can have checked is headspace.

If that passes, lube it up and have it at. Wetter is better with an AR.

    Thank You, Sir!!

Not wanting to knock another's work because weldors are like truck drivers, ask 10 of them a question and you'll get 20 different answers, I would have welded things different and done a lot more clean up and finish work on it.

The burn through on the left side and to the right of the window should have been/could be sanded down and polished out. The warpage on either side of the window frame is what it is. Warpage is a product of poor weld joint design and weld placement. Just going off the pictures, plug welding the sheet (using both round holes and narrow oblong slots), and then sanding down/polishing the welds would have been my suggestion. That is my opinion based on not being able to see the front side (the side that is against the cab) and just speculating at the tube frame they used.

There’s other things you can’t see, there’s weld spatter on the right box top among other things. I’m not impressed but it is what it is.
