    Depends on the goo and yes. Flushed with the old rad in. Then install new. Just so you dont get the crap in the new one.

    Bear in mind that if you are seriously considering adding power to it later on that you might be well advised to compare the price difference between a stock thin one and a heavier duty one with more surface area. Sometimes they are fairly close in price. You might be surprised how little they charge for that upgrade. Maybe not too but check it out.

    I do plan on that for sure. Since I've got to spend the money anyway may as well do the better option.

    Hopefully others will have better ideas, but if it's been patched take needle nose plyers and pinch the tube shut. The stop leak should stop it. Quit putting antifreeze in and just use water to get to home or shop. You will loose it, its summer and it needs flushed anyhow.

    Stop leak is a crutch. And the stuff at stores or your Autozone is bad news.

    Normally never let it run thru your water filter or heater core.
