This is fine, until you find you desperately need the phone, and don't have any battery left. Of course if you are near your truck, you can recharge and use the phone while it is charging. But if you are out hiking or the like, you can be totally screwed. (Yeah, I know, this is a trucking forum, not a hiking forum.)

Sho Nuff and Mike2633 Thank this.

Yeah I agree. I just find that I have my phone with me at ALL times. It's just convenient for me. I lost too many flashlights and money buying new ones all the time.

Oh I hear you there. I found a neat little stylus??? If that is the right word to use for the pencil like thing you use on phones and tablets for keying. One end is the end you tap with, but the other end has both a small flashlight, and a red pointer light. It also has a pen inside it, so it is four tools in one! Since I always carry a pen anyhow, I've always got this small light with me. Great for finding that elusive key hole in the dark...

I put mine on airplane mode when hiking, lots of times there is no signal and the battery will get Shermaned because it's reaching for a signal. Save it for when absolutely needed.

Actually for most of my life I'd like to keep it in airplane mode. :^)

That stylus sounds great. I was working at a construction site where people had to sign my phone as part of the process, electrician turned away and did it on the seat of his truck, then turned to me with mechanical pencil in hand and told me it wouldn't sign. That is what screensavers are for. And lucky I had one on there...should've had a stylus to hand him, but everyone else had used their finger without prompting up to then.

I just hate trying to sign those screens with my finger. My sig looks bad enough when signing papers wit a pen!
