Where is my power stearing fluid?? No visible leaks.

    i have an 02 cat c 15 gear drive p/s pump resevior empties in one hour no leaks... happened today havent looked at engine oil yet...can p/s fluid get into engine somehow with this type pump?

    Power steering is a closed system. If the fluid is disappearing, you DO have a leak. You just haven't found it yet.
    Edit. Gear drive just means you aren't using belts and pulleys to spin the pump.

    Yes, it can get into the oil from the pump driveshaft seal. Is your oil getting over full?

    i would say your pump is putting oil thru in the engine not that common to happen but it does happen.

    Yep if the front seal on the pump pukes, it goes into the engine.

    You are not incorrect . But if losing fluid , if it's not leaking out its leaking in.

    thanks men..... oil was overfull leaking in not out LEARN something new everyday Thanks again
