Under the hood, People. In a baggie with a plastic cable tie. You open your hood to check the oil etc., right? While doing so, you make a deposit/withdrawl and nobody is suspicious. Or 2nd choice is in the trailer. Inside your cab is too obvious.
Where is the best place to hide money on the truck?

On your debit card.

I spilt it between the bank and Comdata. I rarely have more than $40 on me at any given time. I use for palces that don't take Debit Cards which is rare.

The only thing wrong with not keeping a couple hundred cash on hand is that, well, what if something happens to the network and you can't access your cards?
All it would take is one good solar flare to knock things out for a few hours, or days.
The guvment is ever more worried about an EMP attack, which could take out a third of the country's electric/tronic infrastructure. That would include ATM's.
Me? I like to have a little paper with me, just in case an ATM or card reader is not available.orion3814 Thanks this. -

When I'm gone out of town, like recently, I carry a max of $40 in cash on me for small purchases (snacks, drinks) and use my debit card for everything else.

I just don't think there is any safe place, or for that matter, much of a logical reason to keep a lot of money with you. Sure, things can happen that will shut down an ATM network. But at least the money is still there, even though you might have to wait a bit to access it.
Oh yeah, it is much cleaner when you do access it. Keistering your money seems like it would not only give more credence to the term "filthy lucre," but would be a bit uncomfortable on those 700 mile drives.
