Just bought myself a freightliner century. However upon start up the buzzer noise doesn't work. I think the owner might have disconnected it to not hear it. However I heard it's a big fine so I have to fix it. Anyone know where it's located? I tried looking for it myself but had no luck.
Where is the buzzer on freightliner century 2002?

It should be behind the Instrument Panel Gauge Cluster.

You need to have a low air warning device. It does not need to be a buzzer. An idiot light will be sufficient for avoiding fines.

Max: Top right search block. Hit "low air buzzard" or other similar posts. Lots of answers and explanations there. The light is for the deaf driver and the buzzer is for the blind driver. I know of two trucks put out of service with a low air light but no alarm. Not saying anyone is wrong just that it has happened.

Yep, just because it's allowed, doesn't mean they got the message. I remember the safety guy telling us a story that a scale put a driver out of service because he was 1 hour over hours. The problem was we were based in California, and the driver had 2 hours left. No amount of arguing convinced the DOT officer he was wrong. And that's how it goes sometimes.BoxCarKidd Thanks this.
