Look into Ryder, bunch of there accounts pay hourly 22-28 with OT. They were a very good company to work for, I’d go back but they led me to a very good job with private fleet when they lost contract. All depends on account with them, you have to do research on that, talk to drivers on account

Get hazmat ,tankers, doubles & triples added to your CDL. And apply for a twic card. Then you will be able to apply and work just about anywhere that pays decent.

I believe the Federal Reserve has a location in Dallas, so THAT would be where the most money is locally...

How much money qualifies as good money? I’m driving regional dry van for J Rayl on salary. Home weekends, $1400 gross (I actually make a little more, but I’ve been here for 6 1/2 years).

Depends on where one lives. 70k per year means struggling in L.A. But that same money per year might mean ok living in Ennis, TX. Just depends on the cost of living in the area. To determine what equals good money.

 

I was asking the OP how much money he would consider good money in Dallas, where he’s looking for work. I work out of Dallas myself, and live a pretty decent middle class life (homeowner, no large debts) on that kind of money (plus what money my wife makes part time).
