i just relocated from the UK and got my Florida driving licence,My plan was to apply to PRIME for their driver program, but they require me to hold the driver license for one year before applying.
So i think my options are a different company or a school like miami lakes educational centre.
now once i qualify i want to work in a team with my partner who already works for PRIME ,so i don't want to be tied to a school for a year,i think i just want to pay for the course and grab my license .
can you recommend a school with a good reputation and a reasonable price?
I am resident in Ocala Florida, but can travel.

I did'nt know companies could do that. Before attending any school I would check into other companies and see if they require you to hold your license for a yr.Otherwise you may be spending all that money for school and no one will hire you.

isn't that a federal reg? i thought i read in the little green book that you had to be a licensed D class driver (cars) for a year before you could get a CDL. i know it's 21years old also to get a class A and 18 for class B's. I'll look Monday when I grab my books from school.

Just wait for the year to be up... Goin to get better training through Prime than you will at some school. From your name it appears youre a female. That posses a training problem. Policy says no males trainning females. Saves trouble down the line. Exceptions are made, bad idea.

I'm starting National Training Inc in Jacksonville on Tuesday. You first need to complete home study program (33 Lessons online) Then you head to there driver training center for 3 weeks and if all goes well leave with your CDL can't wait to get behind the wheel.

Welcome to the states I grew up in Northamptonshire UK

Try searching google, or the "Trucking regulations" section here on the board.... Might get more replies.
