?Flex Frac have always been nothing but scum. Tutle should be a lot better. I live in Weatherford and we work all of TX, OK and occasional LA/NM. $1.06 mile average. We make $400 on one prefill load out to Wink/Mentone/Rankin. S TX sucks. Have made good money from Victoria or Corpus up to Cotulla/Three Rivers etc. Last trip went to Shattuck OK. Made 4 loads to Wheeler. One w/9 hrs detention. Down to Victoria. 6 loads to Artesia Wells S of Cotulla. Then 3 loads Victoria to site about 15 miles out of Cotulla on 624. And 3 loads from Gardendale Station around Cotulla to same well. Only 25 miles. $131 min. Every load had at least 4 hrs detention and last one had 29 at $15 hr. You should be getting min of 25% of billed revenue not 25% of 80%. D& T , Flex Frac , lot of others out of Alvarado and the valley are hauling for $3 a mile and less. They can have that. It is getting tougher but $400 a wk is one or two load money.

I drive sand truck in WY . My company pays $200 / day minimum , $150 / load . In other words , most days I get 2 loads ($300) some times 3 ($450) if I really want to push it right up to 14 hours .If for some reason I only get 1 load / day or they don't frac that day and I don't work , still get $200 for that day . Usually make well over $2000 / week , the least I can make is $1400 / week . The bad part is , I'm gone from home for 3 weeks at a time with a week off . As trevhoff said , you have to go where the highest demand for sand haulers is to make the most cash . I'm really not lying either .

I spent 2 months in Laredo hauling to Catarina. $68.14 per load. The best I did was 13 loads in one week. A little over $800 gross.

That's, what, about a 60 mile haul? So you were making well over a buck a mile (loaded). That's about right. The problem is only getting 13 loads in a week..... You should be able to pull in 3 or 4 of those loads a day, depending on detention time. And if there is a lot of detention time, you should be getting paid for that as well. $15 an hour (to the driver) seems to be about the going rate around here.

$800 a week isn't TERRIBLE, but it's not great. We would consider that a very slow week. Sounds like the money is fine where you're at, but they need to be getting you more miles.

Illini State Trucking . They also haul dry bulk back east and have sand terminal in CO and LA last I knew . Visit illinistatetrucking.com to fill out an app if you are interested . CO is slow right now , that's where I live and first started with them 2 years ago . Our crew moved to WY when it slowed down . Not sure what is going on in LA right now .

No offense to OP but something just sounds fishy here. If he has worked for 3 companies and working in South TX than something is not right. My husband is new water hauler and his lowest check for bi weekly has been 2400 after taxes. He says he meets sand haulers and they make more. 400 a week? Nah, don't beleive it. Unless the company doesn't like him and playing with him, but 3 companys? Also what doesn't seem right is he stayed that long making that little, that doesn't add up, I doubt anyone working oilfield who was accustomed to a certain paycheck would stay that long making that little.

Who you hauling for . Halliburton? Schlumberger. You need to get the Hell out of there if they have that low a minimum. Go haul water or crude.

I haul for the same company as oilfield trash. I don't know him personally. But I'm an owner operator with them with my own trailer and I do OK. Not getting rich, but did pay off all my debt with them. Things are slow and yes everyone is lowering rates to get the work. Thats just trucking. Am I looking of course we all are always looking for better money. But you got to also look how stable the company is. I live in GA and with out of TX. Work 3-4 weeks and then fly home for 7-10 days and don't like it but it pays the bills. If I wasn't hauling sand I would be running cross country. And Yes I work for Tutle & Tutle. I go where they need trucks. Most guys/gals that are complaining about money wants to be home every weekend and wont work certain areas. And yes south Texas sucks. Used to be good but, got to many people that bought trucks and trailers and over populated it. Just sayin.
