I haven't seen them mention their name out loud in any ads. They have something that tips you onto an ad being theirs ?
-
Now that you mention it, I haven't seen an ad for a couple years but I do remember a couple years ago they had ads all over the place at least in the Youngstown Ohio area.

Sandbox is back busy busy busy
With good driver the truck will gross over $10,000. Owner Operators looking for good drivers are paying as high as 30 percent.
When looking into it figure 1-2 loads per 12 hour shift if you are slip seating.
If you really want to make money find an owner operator that will let you run the truck and not slip seat. Then you can run 3 loads a day possibly more if the site and sand loading facilities don’t have back ups and cause you to wait.MTNClimber Thanks this. -
On CL a guy currently has an ad for a sandbox company driver in WV and OH. Says he pays 32% of what the truck grosses, 35% if the gross is over $10,000/week. Says each load grosses about $500, and the goal is to haul 21 loads per week. 21 x $500 = $10,500. 35% x $10,500 = $3,675.
Now that's good money, at least on paper. Not sure what the reality of that is, though. -
All gonna depend on the load/unload times at either end......rolled by a location the other day(OKC area) and there were 5 Sandbox trucks lined up waiting for a swap..........rolled on into town and there were easily 10 Sandbox trucks lined up at the loadout hub. It is great money if you can "turn & burn" but oilfield ranks right up there with the military when it comes to "hurry up and wait".The Crossword Trucker and elliott Thank this.

Did you factor in your losses from sitting around waiting for loads or to unload in a deserted area where everything costs a fortune.
PS, the oil company execs thank you for your time and helping to contribute to their hookers and blow fund.Skypilotj Thanks this. -
