I changed my mind before I see it
because of snow and salt in winter time SD. causes a lot of rust .. is important to know

You do not worry about that crap, you worry about how it was maintained, how it was driven and what repairs was done or needs to be done.
You do a dyno with a blow by, full ecm dump and a mechanic go through it from front to back. That's what you do.cnsper Thanks this. -

Salt doesn't mean anything. Wash the truck once a week and paint the frame/diffs every spring and there won't be an issue. And I'm talking a good wash not a $15 hose the cab and rims off so it looks pretty. Absolutely every square inch you can reach. It was a rare Monday the old man's trucks went to work where you couldn't eat off the inside of the frame rails or off the axle housings.
