    To buy used semi truck you will ask where's the truck was running before ?
    About me I knows about the truck was running somewhere in SD
    I changed my mind before I see it
    because of snow and salt in winter time SD. causes a lot of rust .. is important to know
    Where's the truck was working before

    What?

    You do not worry about that crap, you worry about how it was maintained, how it was driven and what repairs was done or needs to be done.

    You do a dyno with a blow by, full ecm dump and a mechanic go through it from front to back. That's what you do.

    And the fact he has no clue about what they do up north. They rarely use salt out this way. The concern that I have is whether it was used in the patch or not. But go ahead op you have it all figured out.

    Salt doesn't mean anything. Wash the truck once a week and paint the frame/diffs every spring and there won't be an issue. And I'm talking a good wash not a $15 hose the cab and rims off so it looks pretty. Absolutely every square inch you can reach. It was a rare Monday the old man's trucks went to work where you couldn't eat off the inside of the frame rails or off the axle housings.

    OP if it helps south Dakota is very stingy with salt ...god put the snow on the road and God will take it off .
