Anyone know where I can find some nice coveralls for the summer with no metal exposed and preferably expandable down at the bottom of the legs?
    Prefer Carhart
    Live near Cleveland/Akron Ohio area

I'd just go to your local farm and fleet type store. We have Rural Kings around my area and they have an awesome selection. You could also go to a safety supply store, but they'd probably rape you on price. I bought some flame retardant coveralls from one here locally over the winter. Seems there is a Carhart store over in Westlake, also.

Jump on Carhart's website see if they even make any without the metal. Then take that to ebay or Amazon. Key makes a line with no exposed metal, at least once the wrist and ankle are snapped. Check the farm ranch stores.

You could also check Duluth trading, but that's as spendy as Carhart.

In the summer I wear an apron, picked it up from a home store, don't remember where. I dyed it navy blue (it was white). I also have a lightweight set of Dickies, got them from a uniform supply store, with plastic buttons on the sleeve and plastic zipper. I removed the sleeve buttons, slit the legs about 10 inches and sewed a edge on each side of the slit to keep it from unraveling, and put velcro on a piece of scrap that I sewed to cover the zipper pull, total cost about $25 and a hour to modify. I wear the same set in the winter, just layer some thermals underneath, works well, I found them in one size too big (3XXL) so I could move and stretch comfortably.

I found them at a place called Shutlers in Cleveland, Ohio. They cater mostly to the police. But they are long sleeve and will need to be shortened. I did see some nice ones on line under safety clothes. Different colors and everything.
