Hey guys, I was wondering the price on the glider itself. I already have a C15 Cat and a 10 speed transmission. Every site i been to is trying to sell you the motor and transmission. I would like a peterbilt 389. It doesnt matter the size sleeper. Just no daycab. If anyone could help that would be great! thanks!

That 80K might be a good starting point. From there, it depends on what all you spec in it besides the engine and tranny you have already. Pete is probably the same as Freightliner, in that you can really go all out in spec'ing out interior and just about everything on the truck down to brand of wheel seals.

With you already having the C-15 and transmission if you go with a rolling glider you will be around the 80-90k mark unless you go all out for the truck. If you are going to have the C-15 as a cord for a factory rebuild C-15 then they will give you around $7500 for your C-15.

Just keep in mind the 80-90k is not including the money to put your engine and transmission in.

Well, just got updated from the plant. Truck has departed and heading to dealer. After dealer drops in engine and tranny, puts on the other stuff I wanted, paints the air dam for the mid roof, and paints the fuel tanks, I will pick it up. Should be ready to roll and work the 30th. Been a long, long wait for this. If someone cracks up the truck delivering it, I will not be a happy camper.

Not for a Peterbilt your looking at a starting price of 95k. They raised thier prices a few months ago.

The only sure thing in the USA right now. Prices always go up but pay never does.

Kw salesman called to day. He said the reason kw will only wire for a 04 or newer engine in gliders is because kw feels that new guberment regs are coming. And he said W900 will happen soon. There was a phone conference with the dealers this week and all this was talked about.

well that might be true but one good thing is they cant do this over night, with all the stuff that needs to be done and hearing on new laws it take most of the time about a year to get changes made. From what I know there has been no talk of this yet but I am by no means a pro with all of this. I did some searching online and didn't find anything other then talk about it.
