I have a fine time in my truck. it is paid for & it paid for quite a bit I may add. I don't need the best. c.b. seat or chrome. material things are not what keep me happy. I never did like being too comfortable in life it's just my style & I don't let the kids get too comfortable either on my dime. those who are in my age group or older probably know what I mean. stay safe everyone appreciate most all the replies.:yes2557:

No we don't know what you're talking about. The seat is a safety item. Me, my wife, kids and grand kids don't need your unsafe/ uncomfortable seat or the seat from the salvage yard, or the seat you practiced welding on going down the road.

It's not frugal, it's stupid. Frugal is packing your own lunch instead of going out, or washing your truck instead of going to the truck wash. You're cutting corners and trying to call it frugal.

you have to be joking. replacing my back foam seat is not a safety concern what so ever. even my seat belt is not tied to this in any way. took one, replaced with another in better shape. it is cosmetics. & some comfort. most that replied had advice, if it were a safety issue to them, they would of mentioned it in some way other than, PUT A PIECE OF PLYWOOD IN SLEEPER, and the point about time in my truck to suck? you made no point that makes sense. I don't know what your miserable about, but I know misery love company, sorry not joining you. I am a happy guy no matter what you post. have a blessed wknd.

could not find a drivers seat back that would fit or was worth taking out. but in 1 truck with the drivers seat totally gone, it still had the pass side intact.it fit my driver back part. I just took the back part off 2 bolts. most of the trucks on the yard already had the drivers seat, the whole seat already gone. I may give glockwise the truck yard phone number so he can call get info on who bought all those other seats & then call the D.O.T. & put out a A.P.B.

some may just not get the image.. in my 95 cabover both seats are pretty much 2 piece, nothing like you see on display at dealer or truck shops. it is a ole walmart truck. fact is the one I took out from salvage yard is from a much better optioned truck. the one I took is in better shape old than mine would of been new. nothing in my ole co truck had any high options. no jake, pyro, boost, e.t.c. the seats included. so since I have a higher quality seat back, maybe I have increased the value.:yes2557:
