    Called John Thursday and left a message but he didn't call back. I emailed both sites a bit ago. I'm just wanting to know which shaft to order for the SW double coil to keep it under 5 ft total length, without any angle.

    I added 36 inches to shaft but only subtracted 2 inches from whip.....
    Explain this phenomena.....

    Basically the shaft acts like a piece of coaxial cable. Any changes made below the coil have minimal effect on the length of the whip. It's definitely not proportional.
