I bought a isx from vanderhaggs never again. I've sunk 20k into a rebuilt engine from them. Never ran right from day one. A year later they have not honored there warrenty haven't got a penny from them. They won't even respond to phone calls. Getting to be time to decide if it's worth a lawyer or just write it off. I'll never do buissnes with then again.

    Krhaulin and Tropsnart Thank this.

Never bought anything from them but it looks like nothing more than a salvage yard, shot in the dark at best.

Mine was rebuilt with paperwork lifters were not tight rod and mains not tight. None of the injectors were good. Nothing on the fuel rail was good fuel pump bad. Starter and warmterpump bad. Basically anything that bolted on they took the good off to sell and replaced with bad parts. If we would not have checked the torque on stuff we would have had a real mess. They sold it as a tested and good runner with a gerentee it ran well. We fired that thing up and it was terrible. The only good thing is my mechanic said the internals are very good and tight. And he believes the paperwork on the engine but he feels the same with me on the external parts. They swapped them to sell the good. I’m inclined to right it off as a lesson learned. Still don’t sit well though.

At this point, I’d look for a used take out.Yeah it’s a big gamble. Sorry to hear of your dilemma. Local Guy of no help? I see takeouts for $7000 quite a bit. Preferably out of a wreck,No good answer to this one. I’ve seen a lot of good OH done outside of DD or a certified Dealer. Wish you luck.

Are you sure cores no good? Blocks not cracked. Why not get a new crank?

If you get a take out and take it too a good shop for a rebuild. But how do you know it's a good runner?
