There is no dyno. If you wanted a dyno you took it yourself after buying it to see how bad it is or how good it is to a dealer that runs a dyno. Auctions have a certain risk there.
If memory serves, there has been about four tractors that were beautiful in auction. And the biddings reflected that. They know.

"gently used truck"
Isn't that an oxymoron?
Big_D409, Badmon, Socal Xpress and 3 others Thank this. -
The only way i'd buy a truck at an auction is if I could spend about $20,000 on it and still have a fair deal.
Dino soar Thanks this. -
Find a Prime truck with Apu . Arrow used trucks normally has them . Word from some Former Prime drivers is they are very well maintained. Those trucks also have an Apu from day 1 , so low idle hrs . Mostly Cascadias .

Auctions are the cheapest with the most risk.
Dealers have the highest Supply but also the highest price.
Anyting with under 200,000 miles is probably someone that went broke and voluntarily gave it back or it was repossessed. People who are going broke do not do maintenance. It could also be a problem truck.
Wish I had better news for you.
Maybe with the market like it is you could hammer a dealer down for a great deal on a new truck.
But I would always want a sleeper for more flexibility if your plans ever change or you need to go a little farther. -
I would not be afraid of a celadon truck with low miles at the auction ,I think that would be a sweet deal if the price was right!
