Where to Mount a PrePass?

    I got my PrePass in the mail this weekend. And the directions show 2" from the top and 2" right from the center of the windshield.
    I'm not liking that location at all. Looks stupid.
    Anyone mount it at the very top of the windshield and still have it function properly?
    I have a 386 Pete with a metal windshield visor. So I don't want to mount it at the very top of the windshield and have it not work properly.
    I'm thinking at the very bottom of the windshield would be better also.

    Where did you guys mount your PrePass?

    I have mine laying on the dashboard itself, it works just fine. I did have it at the very top of the windshield at one time, and the metal visor kept it from working like it was supposed to.
