i just buy new cartridges. they only cost $14 for black. i don't need color. and it'll last me 3 months or better.
your only printing out one log a day. 30 pages a month. and the occasional permits.
500 sheets of paper will last over a year.
a conputerized logbook program is a one time fee. least mine was. and it was only $60. purchased 3 years ago.

People still using Loose Leaf these days? Tell me if I'm wrong but I heard ever get checked for logs at a scale and using loose leaf they pull you in and run ya thru the riggers? That true? Been out of the loop for 7 years.

I don't mean to debate printed vs computer to each their own preference. When I first started O/op, cost me $200 for 500 cnt of 8x11 2pg carbonless sheets, and hole punched. I liked the idea of having log, pre-trip, and IFTA miles/state on one sheet. I save some money by having a previous employer's log identical to what I needed, the only extra cost was for editing the name/address. Since they saved my print setup, it only cost $100 for my next 500pgs.
That was all 10-15yrs ago, I have no idea how much it costs today, but can't imagine it cost more than the printer ink doing it yourself. -
500 pages for little more than $3. Refer to post #15 here
